The 6-ply poplar shells, OptiLoc suspension system, and included kick drum riser are all designed to maximize the Midtown's bass response and resonance. An added benefit to the included riser is that it lets you use standard pedals and beaters with very little adjustment.
One of the Midtown's biggest benefits is its compact size and light weight for gigging drummers. Pearl found a way to fit all four drums into two Gator gig bags that pack easily into the trunk of your car or a tiny corner of a van.
