The Champion Power Equipment 8000-Watt Portable Generator with CO Shield is designed with your safety and convenience in mind. This generator will provide all the backup power you need for power outages and emergencies. Champion's Intelligauge monitors voltage, frequency and operating hours. The foldaway easy-grip handle and included wheel kit with never-flat tires make it a cinch to move your power where you need it. At 10,000 starting watts and 8000 running watts, this unit can handle it all in an outage - lights, refrigerator, modem/router, security system, window AC, furnace blower, TV, computer, phone charger and more. Not only that, but the Volt Guard built-in surge protector prevents overloads and keeps your equipment safe from spikes in voltage. Designed with a low oil shut-off switch, this unit has a 1.2-quart oil capacity (recommended 10W-30). CO Shield technology monitors the accumulation of carbon monoxide (CO), a poisonous gas produced by engine exhaust when the generator is running. If CO Shield detects unsafe elevated levels of CO gas, it automatically shuts off the engine. CO Shield is not a substitute for an indoor carbon monoxide alarm or for safe operation. DO NOT allow engine exhaust fumes to enter a confined area through windows, doors, vents or other openings. Generators must ALWAYS be used outdoors, far away from occupied buildings with engine exhaust pointed away from people and buildings.
