The nato wood used for the guitar's Style 2 body sounds much like mahogany but is readily available, keeping the guitar's price more manageable. The non-flashy finish extends to the guitar's Fender-licensed headstock. And body binding gives the Joe Duplantier San Dimas Style 2 guitar just enough pop to look like a serious metal machine.
To get his pummeling guitar tones, Duplantier chose to go with a duet of Duncan Designed HB-103 humbucking pickups in his Charvel signature model.
