About This Product

The Crescent High-Leverage Compound Bolt Cutters offer a lower force, delivering a superior cutting performance. The integrated stabilizer on the handles ensures increased leverage and control during cutting tasks. Additionally, their lighter weight compared to previous models reduces fatigue and provides enhanced precision. These all-purpose cutters come equipped with center-cut blades, allowing them to tackle soft, medium, and hard materials. However, it's crucial to never use Crescent cutters on energized circuits, wire, or cable to ensure safety.

Highlights

Lower force to cut for a superior cutting performance

Integrated stabilizer on handles for increased leverage and control while cutting

Lighter weight than previous H.K. Porter models for reduced fatigue and enhanced control

All-purpose jaws with center-cut blades

Cuts soft, medium, and hard materials

NEVER use any Crescent cutters on energized circuits, wire, or cable!

Cuts up to 7mm/0.27" at 48HRC

While our bolt cutters can cut soft/medium materials up to 3/8" (24HRC), they are better suited for harder materials up to 9/32" (48HRC). Material examples included hardened chain, padlocks, rebar, and guy wire. Bolt cutters in general perform material "separation" through a "pinch" rather than a true "cut", so the softer the material, the more likely you will experience the material "pinching". To combat this, we do recommend that you line the material up all the way to the fulcrum of the jaws and make sure to adjust the top points so that the blades come together.
