The CW50 is a thorough redesign of our C50 clamp. Its extrusion is 3.5 in. W, like our super rigid CW99 clamp. Its jaws are also 2.5 in. W, eliminating the need for a pair of wide jaw (XWJ) accessories and simplifying the use of the clamp. Our reworking of the sliding jaw clamping mechanism is perhaps the most important change, however. In addition to the chip and rod combination that acts as the backbone for the clamp's force exertion, the sliding jaw now also expands into the inner cavity of the clamp. This means the clamping mechanism is clamping end to end and side to side, which completely eliminates side shift.
