The Halder Simplex Mallet is the signature hammer in the Halder line. This patented hammer has a split housing design that is made from heavy duty cast iron. This split housing allows it to be taken apart and the components can be replaced when worn or damaged. The face inserts consist of a hard, durable red acetate plastic material and a Medium-hard gray, Non-marring rubber. The faces are held in place by pressure and are not screwed in. This allows for a much greater wear area and longer life. The Simplex hammer can be replaced and modified to use many other face materials for different applications.
