The half-round, long jaws have serrated gripping surfaces. KNIPEX Chain Needle-Nose Pliers are suitable for all types of fine gripping and cutting work. These pliers feature pointed, half-round jaws with serrated gripping surfaces. In addition, this tool features a cutter for use with soft, medium-hard and hard wire. The cutting edges are induction hardened to approximately 61 HRC and will cut medium hard wire maximum diameter 3.2 mm and hard wire with a maximum diameter 2.2 mm. Crafted from vanadium electric steel, forged and oil-hardened, these pliers are ideal for heavy duty use. Available with plastic dipped, multi-component comfort grip, or insulated grip handles. The steel KNIPEX uses is precisely hardened with a maximum of 0.8% carbon and defined parts of chromium and vanadium, guaranteeing optimum cutting performance and service life even though it requires special production and costs a bit more. But our high product demands require this.
