About This Product

The Step Cut XL is a high-leverage tool with long handles and optimized cutting edges, making it easier to use than compact shears. It is capable of cutting solid copper, aluminum, stranded and fine stranded cables, but is not suitable for steel-reinforced cables like ACSR. Key features include dual cutting areas for cable positioning and gradual cutting, easy 1- or 2-handed operation and a slim head for better accessibility. The adjustable, bolted joint ensures precise and smooth cutting and safety is enhanced with a pinch guard. Made from high-grade, forged and oil-hardened special tool steel, it has laser-hardened cutting edges (approx. 56 HRC).
