The MKE 600 is the ideal video camera/camcorder microphone able to handle even demanding filmic challenges. Due to its high directivity, the MKE 600 picks up sounds coming from the direction in which the camera is pointing and effectively attenuates noise coming from the sides and rear. The switchable “Low Cut” filter additionally minimizes wind noise. Because some video cameras/camcorders do not provide phantom power, the MKE 600 can also be battery powered. A battery on/off switch prevents the battery from discharging prematurely; “Low Batt” is displayed.

On-board controls and accessories to shape your sound

Shotgun microphones are more sensitive to movement and windnoise, so the MKE 600 comes standard with a foam windscreen to protect against light wind and movement, as well as a switchable „Low Cut“ filter to minimize wind noise and other disturbing sounds with low frequency hum like ACs, refridgerators and more.

Flexible powering options

Most shotgun microphones require phantom power to function, but the MKE 600 is capable of being powered by either Phantom Power (from XLR based cameras/camcorders) or via a single AA battery. This makes it extremely flexible and capable of being used with any camera you can connect it to.

Included accessories

A low-profile shockmounted cold-shoe adapter also features a 1/4-20 mount for flexibility when setting up your mic on camera or on a boom pole. An included foam windscreen ensures your mic is protected from light wind noise while the included KA 600 adapter cable (XLR to 3.5mm TRS) allows you to connect to your cameras 3.5mm audio.
